Thistledown's Sumptuous Succulents

With the closing of Thistledown Greenhouse, our retail garden center in Wisconsin, we are now relocated in Northern California. Thistledown's Sumptuous Succulents is growing a new life of it's own, reflecting how we feel about our love affair with the succulents we collect, grow and sell. Succulents offer such a riot of color & texture, along with their low water maintenance, these little gems give so much of themselves for so little...

Last August (2011) we moved several of our greenhouses, our whole collection of succulent plants, all our critters and all our personal belongings in one big semi (well... not our critters; they rode with us). We were dropped off at our new 14 acres of very rural and beautiful California oak-wooded range land. And then we started rebuilding. A new well, a new Yurt for our home, erected the greenhouse and put in solar for our power. We have been busy planting veggies and fruit trees. Trying to be as self-reliant as we can and to leave the smallest footprint on the environment as possible.

Because we are so far out-miles up a steep and winding dirt road, we are no longer open to public visitation or plant sales, as we were back in Wisconsin. We sell only at Farmer's Markets and now through our Website; just click on the Web Store button at the left. Welcome to our new beginnings!
